I am a self taught artist but; I have taken several workshops from a nationally known artist that lives in the area; Mark Weber. Also a few drawing classes at JCCC from May 2004 to June 2008. I've been painting for about 10 years. I prefer painting portraits in the chiaroscuro style like Caravaggio. He is the largest influence in my work next to Mark Weber who taught me some of Caravaggio's techniques and style. Most of my paintings look best in dim light, such as candle light.
