Mirjana Gotovac

I was born in 1960 in the rural countryside of Southern Croatia. It is here that I formed my love for landscapes. I came to Canada about 22 years ago to start a new life with my husband and growing family. We have been living in Brampton for 18 years now. Ever since I was a little girl, I sought to express myself creatively through artwork which incorporates a large array of colors and textures. My inspirations are my friends, family and put simply, the beautiful world we live in. My artwork incorporates different techniques and tools, from oils, to watercolors and acrylics. I love to paint landscapes and anything occurring in its natural setting, though I also love to try new unique styles of painting, lately focusing on contemporary abstract paintings. I have also recently finished a course on interior decorating at Sheridan College. I see the world as a grand painting, and hopefully my work will eternalize the magnificence we see day to day.
